Award-winning director Kevin Donovan, whose work spans feature films, commercials, music videos and viral content, has signed with Homestead Films+Edit, the New York-based, integrated production house.

"I have always admired the drive, spirit and capabilities of Homestead," says Donovan. "For a director, they offer the immediacy of working with an editor and artist because we're all under one roof." Executive Producer Michael Garza said "Donovan is a natural addition to Homestead. Kevin's auteur approach is the key to his storytelling method - he's involved at every level of the process."

Donovan attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and then moved to New York, where he worked as an art director at Cliff Freeman and Partners, BBDO and J. Walter Thompson. The urge to bring stories to life made him transition to directing and garnering considerable success in the U.S. and international markets. His numerous awards have included five Cannes Lions and he has had over twenty commercials short-listed at the festival. Donovan's clients have included Pepsi, McDonalds, Coca Cola, Toyota, Wendy's, Sharpie, Nestea and Cadbury among others.

Before the ink was dry, Donovan and Homestead had already partnered on two campaigns. Ogilvy/NY brought Donovan on to direct NFL MVP Adrianne Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings for a Castrol campaign illustrating how Peterson's seemingly miraculous recovery is because he is "Driven Stronger". In another campaign for WildAid.org Donovan directed international awareness to stop the senseless slaughter of animals like Rhinoceroses for their horns and Elephants for their tusks. Stars Jackie Chan, Maggie Q and Edward Norton speak out to educate those who purchase these as exotic trophies. Homestead produced, edited and finished these spots in 3 languages. Donovan is also currently in development for a new feature film and working with Homestead on an original film for ESPN "30 for 30" for Fox.

On the continued pattern of growth for Homestead Garza added. "Focusing on our talent process is our critical mission. We want the most effective way to innovate - we aren't just providing services. We focus every resource we have on our storytellers - directors, editors, designers and artists."
