Created by Bensimon Byrne, and produced by Fela, the Destination Toronto campaign You Gotta See What We See brings together two local talents – Director X and award-winning singer/songwriter Mustafa, who wrote and performed the piece.
Toronto-born Julien Christian Lutz, aka Director X (known for his promos for the likes of Drake, Rihanna, Rosalia, and Kendrick Lamar) conceptualised the split-screen POV to reflect the breadth and diversity of the city’s people, places and culture.
Lorne Covant, CD at Bensimon Byrne commented: "The magic of our city is how it brings different people and perspectives together to remix something entirely new. To embody that spirit we handed over the reins to our creators. The result is so much more than a tourism campaign, it is a love letter; the result of Director X and Mustafa’s perspectives on Toronto.”
