Sometimes it's nice to just let a film wash all over you, and with Denisse Ariana Pérez's latest, the metaphor is more than apt.
Presenting the sea as “a reflection on how similar we are to water and how it breathes just like we do - if we only decide to listen to it", the photographer and filmmaker's Tide In, Tide Out is a gorgeous meditation.
Shot in Greece, the film's photography by Aleix Rodón captures the motion of the ocean, with all of the lighting ripples it contains, wonderfully, making for a thoughtful, bewitching piece that whets your appetite for more of the director's work.
