Moving smoothly forward – like a train of thought – this TVC, created by Leith and helmed by directing duo The Queen with post from Nomad, sees a traveller journeying through different scenarios, conveying how the railways kept us going throughout the pandemic.

Getting key workers to work and supporting agriculture and manufacturing with vital rail freight, Scotland’s Railway has also invested £4 billion into the network – making it cleaner, greener and faster.

Produced by Filming Scotland, the spot is titled Onwards and reconfirms the brand’s pledge to be ‘Better in the Making’ by being carbon neutral by 2035.

Part of an ongoing 360 drive including TVC, radio, digital, social and OOH, Onwards is the first instalment of a three-phase campaign by Leith and Scotland’s Railway.

David Boyce, Head of Project Communications, Scotland’s Railway said, “This new chapter in the Scotland’s Railway campaign not only celebrates the heroic efforts our people have made to keep our railway running at such a vital time for the nation, it also signals the continued investment to help us get back on track, delivering a network that is going to be better and greener than ever.”
