Across Canada a young adult is diagnosed with cancer almost every hour.
Tina Schomburg had her whole life ahead of her when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at just 21 years of age.
Faced with unbearable grief and a lack of support Schomburg, across this six minute short film, intimately recounts her experience of navigating an insensitive medical system and finding healing through community, and explains how young people have unique needs – practical, physical and psychosocial – that are unmet by today’s cancer system.
The film was created and produced through Rich&Jay Vancouver and directed by Amar Chebib.
