Brain Cox channels his inner Logan Roy in this new campaign for DIRECTV which casts the actor as the brand's spokesperson, one who's not into sugar coating anything, and who says it like it is.

Debuting DIRECTV’s new brand strategy platform of 'Entertainment Without Compromise', the two-spot campaign, created by TBWA/Chiat/Day and directed by Caviar LA's Jody Hill, shows the inimitable Cox telling us that we're "doing TV wrong". He goes on to berate a series of people who suffer the consequences after deciding against using DIRECTV, before dismissing the occupants of a house and making himself comfortable for the game.

“I thoroughly enjoyed being the Overly Direct Spokesperson in the new TV campaign for DIRECTV,” said Cox. “The main broadcast spot is truly an ode to all that DIRECTV is doing to simplify their TV watching experience.”

“Other than being an incredibly seasoned and accomplished actor, we knew Brian could really pay off a 'direct' character and deliver on the type of tone we wanted our direct spokesperson to communicate - stern but still accessible and relatable,” added Jason Karley, Executive Creative Director at TBWA/Chiat/Day.
