Set to the soulful track Right Next to You by Layup, the film captures the lifelong bond between a pet and its owner, illustrating how animals can transform everyday moments into something extraordinary.
To authentically portray the passage of time, three different age cats were used, each contributing to the narrative's emotional depth. Cat lover Lewis-Reece faced a delicate task of coaxing natural performances from the trio of Leos.
With excellent performances from both human and feline protagonists the moving film ends up being a truly CAThartic drama.
