Leveraging the trademark ennui of her perennially bored Parks character April Ludgate, Plaza deliciously deadpans her way through this Super Bowl spot for Mountain Dew.
Directed by comedy king Jim Jenkins, through O Positive, the spot Having a Blast depicts Plaza having a witheringly sardonic non blast in a variety of excitable situations.
Eventually she is joined by Nick Offerman (formerly Ron Swanson) who is also overjoyed (not) to be sharing a fantastical dragon ride with her.
Speaking about reading the dragon scene in the pitch, Plaza revealed: "I thought, 'That is hilarious. That is the perfect April and Ron alternate universe reunion that anybody could ever ask for'.”
