Contrasting the everyday and the epic, Droga5's “A Voice is all you need” campaigns for Amazon show the power of Alexa devices.
In the middle of Pompeii’s imminent doom, a man in modern-day clothing eats his toast. As statues fall, balconies crumble, and men in togas run screaming in terror, he observes it all with a mildly amused look on his face. As he watches the disaster he finally remembers to ask what year it is, and when he gets the answer (79AD, for those wondering) he pops back into his kitchen, informing his daughter of the date as if he knew it the whole time.
The production of the Roman city is truly remarkable. There’s no detail missed, no actor who isn’t fully committing to the role within the ad. With a fun premise and a clever twist, Pompeii is a charming modern-insert ad. Andreas Nilson brings his humor and tongue-in-cheek direction to the piece, with production by Biscuit Filmworks.
