Where there is light, there is hope. This is the thought that inspired Accenture Nordic’s Christmas film, Tree Of Light.

Launched on the darkest day of the year, this contemporary homage to H.C Andersen’s Christmas tale, The Little Match Girl, aims to shed some brightness on the end of an otherwise dark year.

The film aims to generate awareness and traffic for a campaign with a good cause, raising donations for Save the Children. For each user who interacts with the website and switches on a virtual light on the Christmas tree, Accenture donates $5 to Save The Children across all Nordic countries.

Says, Tim Pashen, Creative Lead at Hjaltelin Stahl, Part of Accenture Interactive: “This Christmas, the most meaningful gifts might not be the ones wrapped under the tree. That’s why we wanted to turn the annual Christmas greeting into an opportunity to make a difference this holiday for those who are in need. Especially the young, most vulnerable and less fortunate in our local communities.”

Director Christophe Dolcerocca adds: ”I got to work with some of my favourite elements - conceptual lighting and the human body - within the genre of Fantasy, which felt good in particular, since I was teleported back to the films I grew up with and binge-watched over the holidays. Working on this project really put me in the Christmas spirit.”
