Whitehouse Post has boosted its Los Angeles roster with the signing of editor Georgia Dodson.
With more than a decade of experience working in top post houses, Dodson is excited about the opportunities she’ll have in her new home. “In addition to Whitehouse being such a widely-known, respected company,” says Dodson, “it says a lot about a company’s culture to have so many long-term employees, as well as so many female editors on its roster.”
As an English literature major at the College of William and Mary, Dodson’s background as a writer developed into a love of documentary-style storytelling resulting in work for top brands like Dove (BBDO), Google (Anomaly), Casper (Partners & Spade), Hershey’s (Arnold), Chick-fil-A (McCann) and Toyota (Droga5). In addition to commercial work, Dodson edited director Matt Lenski’s Meaning of Robots which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, won best short documentary at the Nashville Film Festival, and screened at SXSW and MoMA's New Directors/New Films. Other accolades include a Gold Lion at Cannes for Prudential’s Day One Stories with The Mercadantes and Droga5; one of these documentary pieces was also selected to air during the Super Bowl.
“She is beyond skilled at telling very real stories and making them so compelling,” says EP Joanna Manning. “With experience on both coasts, Georgia will be a perfect fit at the Whitehouse!”
