In his recent collaboration with Boiler Room productions, Bullion director João Retorta delivers the first in a series of three performance-led films, commissioned by the Hyundai Mercury Prize, to showcase some of their Album of The Year nominees.

This episode is a haunting profile of South London Grime MC Novelist featured on location in his home borough of Lewisham. He relates how his background has shaped his work before leading into a gritty live performance of his track, Nov Stop Nov Wait, taken from his debut album Novelist Guy.
