Plátano de Canarias: The Gift

Unless you have a heart of cold, hard stone you can't fail to be affected by this new campaign from Spanish agency El Ruso de Rocky Madrid which tells the story of a young girl and her imaginative and adventure-loving grandad. 

The six-minute branded film is for Plátano de Canarias, a Spanish banana company (a first, we think, on shots.net) and is directed by Rodrigo Garcia Saiz through Central Films. In the film, called The Gift, the girl, who is somewhat ignored by her busy parents, is routinely taken on flights (or rather, drives) of fancy by her grandfather in a beaten up old car. But when the grandfather is no longer able to be her co-pilot, her parents must embrace the present as well as their daughter's wild imaginings. 

The appearance of a Christmas scene in January is somewhat threw us and, yes, it's emotionally manipulative, but hell, it's very well done and have your 'no, I've just got something in my eye' excuses at the ready.
