A Ford Ranger bridges literal and metaphorical divides in the latest from Gravity Films directors The Salto Brothers.
For Go Further, directed for GTB, the brothers Jesse and Louie show a Ford Ranger being used as the central point of a bridge over a Thailand river during the country's monsoon season.
Shot in extreme widescreen, the ad makes the most of the beautiful landscapes that the duo spent an age looking for. As the two explain, the ad was 'a product of blood sweat and tears, quite literally,' with global warming meaning that it was difficult to find a deep enough river, plus 'several hours of torrential rain per day, water levels that were too high and a broken camera.' Imagine if Werner Herzog was making a car ad and you have some idea of the ordeal.
