Sonnet Insurance present the most stressful video ever to feature a smiley-faced balloon for their latest campaign.
In the animated spot, directed by Smith & Foulkes of Nexus Studios for Johannes Leonardo, an oblivious balloon with a happy face drawn on it narrowly avoids every kind of city-based scrape you can think of, from barbed wire to cacti to revolving doors. With each successful near-miss, the next set of spikes become more stressful, until you think your own head could pop balloon-style, and you’ll be wanting to sort out your own life insurance (so pretty much mission accomplished for an insurance brand then…)
Following a huge sigh of relief as the balloon makes higher ground, the slogan ‘what’s the best that can happen’ appears, and the inflatable lives to float another day online and on Canadian TV where the spot is debuting.
