Pedro Suarez Vertiz is the most famous Peruvian rock star. But back in 2011 the singer and much-loved national icon was diagnosed with Dysarthria, a rare motor speech disorder that will sadly prevent him from speaking - and singing - again.

With the artist having quit live gigs since losing his voice despite being a perfectly fine musician, BBVA released this campaign created by DDB Fahrenheit that sees the bank throw down a challenge to the people of Peru to bring him back.

if a million fans called for his return, it just might prove enough to see the return of their favourite act. To make it all possible, fans were invited to log on to a dedicated website and literally add their voice to the campaign in song.

Over 1.4 million people participated and Vertiz made a comeback providing the music with the fans supporting vocally. The show was a huge success and was named the top gig of the year, beating Sir Paul McCartney to the top spot, as the case video, produced by Patria and helmed Milovan Radovic, highlights.
