72andSunny use the NBA opener between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics to launch a media blitz. The spot (launched at the beginning of the game) put the match in context with the life of Miami’s MVP, LeBron James. Anonymous Content’s Mark Romanek uses Samsung’s Galaxy Note II as a vehicle to show how Lebron connects with family, fans, and the community outside of the arena.
The piece synched perfectly with the details of the day and preluded the game harmoniously; everything from Lebron's khaki suit to his red and black wristband for Akron Public Schools is accurately mimed.
Even Lebron's interactions with the phone came to fruition on game day; Lebron tweeted Magic Johnson in response to the message seen in the ad, he posted the photo he took of his gold Lebron Xs in one of the ad's shots, and uploaded Instagram images of his new championship ring as the spot assumed he would. All of these elements help integrate the advertisement with the game and the phone with the fans.
