Exaggerating the loading time when trying to boot up a song, or a game, or a video, teenagers turn into septuagenarians in a single cut.

Darkly comedic, The Gamer watches in defeat as his avatar is stuck with a rotating wheel, caught in a lagtime loop. He stares at the screen, entranced, and when he finally gives up he’s turned into someone’s grandfather. The loading sign haunts him through his house, even showing up under the wallpaper, a strangely haunting turn that leaves him breaking down.

The three ads are strange and surreal, embodying the feeling of both growing old while waiting for an internet connection and the strange knowledge that there are other things that could be distracting you. The other two ads are The Streamer and The Guitarist. The series was created by Adpro Communications, for Zain Jordan and produced by Good People Films in Beirut.
