Scorecards, directed by The Hudson Dusters, showcases a deeper side of the emotional connection between father and sport.
Spanning a lifetime of games, a boy grows up learning golf with his father. As he gets older, and better at the game, he keeps all the scorecards, a memento of the times they shared playing the sport.
Sweet and sentimental, Scorecards looks at father’s day with a tenderness that father’s day sometimes lacks in between grilling spots and beer commercials. Produced by Greenpoint Pictures, the spot will run during the US Open.
Scorecards was produced outside over two days, during torrential downpours. Says Tombras VP and Account Director Chris Randall, “On the first day a tornado touched down a mile from where we were shooting, and the whole shoot was in jeopardy, but we powered through. During the rain scene, of course, the rain stopped immediately so we had to get the rain machines out.”
