Winners of the 5th UK Music+Sound Awards were announced last night at an electrifying ceremony where the cream of UK’s media music, sound and sync talent were celebrated and honoured for their exceptional work over the last year.

The Awards were presented by TV comedian, Richard Herring, at the historic and glamour-infused, Café de Paris, where the industry came out to recognize the triumphant winners and attend what succeeded in, once again, being one of the best networking events of the music and sound in media calendar.

The Awards supported the work of music therapists, Nordoff Robbins, by donating £5 from every entry and ticket sale to the charity.

Adam & Eve DDB and John Lewis took two wins during the night with Universal Music Publishing’s sync on their Insurance ad with Elton John’s 'Tiny Dancer' and Leland Music and Aurora’s re-record of Oasis’ ‘Half the World Away’ for their ‘Man on the Moon’ Christmas ad.

Mutant Jukebox triumphed with their composition on Wieden + Kennedy’s Honda ‘Feeling’ and Universal Publishing Production Music with Count de Money’s music on TBWA/London’s Coco de Mer ‘X’.

String and Tins took home first prize for Joint London’s Vue Cinema ‘Sizzle’, whilst Factory Studios received four wins, two being for Best Sound Design and Best Audio Mix for Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO’s Sainsbury’s ‘Mog’s Christmas Calamity’.

MD, Emma Maguire, comments on this year’s competition, ‘We’re thrilled to have reached our 5th Anniversary of recognising the immense music, sound and sync talent in our media industries.

She goes on to say, “Turning the spotlight on their expertise and the vital role of their crafts has been our driving force.  This year looks to have raised the benchmark for excellence even higher and we congratulate all our winners, thanking them for the inspiration they have bought about.”
