This well-crafted film about a mad scientist on a mission oozes retro detail and carries a tasty lemony wash from colourist Manuel Portschy

Created by Sunst Studio and directed by Franck Trozzo Kazagui through Saltwater Film, it opens in Berlin 1980 with a young boffin having an accident with a lemon that sets him on a quest to make electricity from said citrus fruit.

Fast-forward 40 years and the scientist, now known as Gramps, has succeeded in harnessing the intense power of the fruit and using it to totally ‘lemon up’ an ordinary running shoe, turning it into the superb upgraded Air Max 1 with its nostalgic styling and yellow/green colourways. Turns out it was easy peasy lemon squeezy after all.

When the Powerwall series of shoes launched in 2006 with 56 different varieties, the Lemonade was one of the most popular. This upgrade is being launched with an Overkill Special Box that contains a T-shirt, a branded lemon squeezer a lemonade specially brewed in Berlin and a… a bunch of lemons.
