NHL superstars David Pastrňák of the Boston Bruins and T.J. Oshie of the Washington Capitals get a makeover as hockey arcade figurines.

As the Bruins and Caps duke it out on court, Oshie stops and stares at the worst possible sight in a hockey game: an Empty Net. He zooms over to the goalie, who has a classic Dunkin cold brew in hand. It’s a fun homage to NHL fans who know that there’s only one coffee brand allowed inside the dome. Er, rink.

Developed by BBDO New York, the piece was directed by Peter Sluszka created by production partners at Hornet who went to great lengths to make the stop motion look realistic without being too high tech. The design teams developed nearly two dozen different, hand-painted heads for both Pastrňák and Oshie to bring their personal characteristics and facial expressions to life, each frame taking approximately 6-8 hours to film.
