This new campaign for Volkswagen is a gentle and comforting tale of a man's journey home interspersed with scenes that show his inner thoughts brought to life on the road in front of him.
Created by Ogilvy Cape Town and directed by Karien Cherry through Giant Films, the 60-second spot shows a man leaving a shop with a large box, then climbing into his car for the drive home through quiet Capetonian streets.
On the way we see a man walking balloon animal dogs, a bouncy castle building and a sea of colourful balloons. As the man reaches his destination, we realise that he's ferrying a cake and balloons to a child's party as the endline appears; Your mind is on life, ours is on you.
