Natal is warm despite the chilly weather, a story surrounding family and love.
A woman walks through the cold, dark streets of the city, singing. On the other end of the line is her young daughter, listening to her mother’s lullaby. The woman passes families eating dinner together, empty overpasses, and cobblestone streets before finally entering the emergency ward, where she ends the call and starts putting on her PPE.
Natal is about the holiday season without saying it, and also about 2020, again without coming straight out with it. Directed by Augusto de Fraga and produced by Krypton, the spot relies on sentimentality and heartstrings to deliver a story that feels relevant to both the season and the times we’re living in.
