Agency VMLY&R announced the appointment of Manir Fadel as CCO of VMLY&R Spain

Fadel will work across the Madrid and Barcelona offices and report to VMLY&R Europe CCO, Jaime Mandelbaum.

Fadel brings twenty years of global creative excellence working with leading local and global brands including Colgate, Visa, Fiat, Nissan, Adidas, Sunsilk, Mattel, Telefonica, and AB InBev. He will be responsible for the creative vision and output across the Spanish market and for accelerating its creative growth.

Fadel was previously EMEA ECD at Red Fuse, the global VMLY&R team dedicated to Colgate-Palmolive's brands. He oversaw the creative output for the EMEA region and led the first equity campaign for Colgate, helping reposition the brand and earning industry recognition at Cannes Lions.

At VMLY&R, Fadel will lead the 80+ strong creative department which brings together a wealth of talent from integrated creatives, to social and content specialists, innovation and design. He will work across the client portfolio, which includes Danone and Telefonica, among others.

Fadel's work - among which Nissan's Damn Ponies, one of the most famous campaigns of all times in Brazil, a World Cup campaign for Gatorade, an Olympics campaign for Nissan - has received global recognition from every major industry award, with over 25 Cannes Lions and multiple D&AD, One Show and Clios, to Effie Awards. Fadel was recognised as one of the top 10 creative directors at Cannes in 2010.

Before Red Fuse, Fadel was global executive creative director for Unilever at J. Walter Thompson London, where he ran creative for Sunsilk globally. And chief creative officer at the São Paulo agency Lew'Lara\TBWA, where he started his career as a copywriter. He is originally from São Paulo, Brazil.
