When a life-changing moment occurs, it can sometimes feel like the world has upturned around you.
Such is the truism brought to spectacular life by Pulse Films' Oscar Hudson in this striking new work from Uncommon for B&Q.
Opening with the image of a woman discovering she has a baby on the way, Flip takes us into a home that soon begins to rotate to the dulcet tones of David Bowie, causing chaos for all but our protagonist, who takes the opportunity to have a little climb and a sit-down.
Above: The incredible rotating set in all its glory.
Brilliantly symbolising both the metaphorical seismic changes a bun in the oven can bring and the genuine physical changes that are needed throughout the homestead (made easy with B&Q, natch), Hudson incorporates his ingenious ability to mix in-camera and digital trickery to create an image that it both fantastical and familiar.
“Nobody just wakes up and decides to improve their home," explains Nils Leonard, Co-founder, Uncommon Creative Studio. "Life happens, things change, and your home needs to change with them.
"B&Q enables us to do just that with ease. This film is a powerful story of change, made easy, all captured in one beautiful moment."
