If you’ve decided to desiccate your January – which incidentally isn’t an excuse to spend a month downing only dry martinis, dry white wine or dry cider – this amusing ad may raise a cheer.
Created by Arts & Letters and directed by Gavin Bellour through Classified Pictures, the film features the DIY queen and lifestyle expert explaining how Tito’s Handmade Vodka can come in handy with everyday household tasks.
The whimsical montage follows Stewart as she repurposes vodka as a cleaning fluid, a flavour enhancer for pasta sauce (add liberally), a preservative for fresh flowers and even a deodoriser for pongy boots. Ultimately, the video ends on Martha clutching a martini glass and having a little swear.
The multi-faceted campaign includes various limited-edition DIY January bottle-topper attachments for those that want to try out the tasks for themselves.
A sober note: net proceeds from all gadget sales go to a choice of non-profit good causes that the brand has teamed up with.
