Created by W Communications through Agile Films, this heartwarming story of self-discovery, titled It Starts With A Swipe, is the first UK brand film from online dating platform Tinder.
Intimately directed by Jamie Whitby, the campaign follows a lonely young woman in London who, following her sister’s advice, turns to Tinder to find friends in a new city, set to the uplifting track of Deadbeat Gospel, by Edinburgh-born producer Barry Can’t Swim.
Through a euphoric montage of film footage and home-video style clips, Whitby illustrates the web of connections that form between the protagonist’s dates, painting an authentic picture of a generational shift in dating that prioritises possibilities and personal fulfilment over finding 'The One'.
