There's no pie in team
Using the humble pastry treat as an example, M&C Saatchi Sydney creates an epic ode to the joy of sport (and sporting attendance) for TAB.

There's a heck of a lot about 'normal' life we're missing at the moment, but for sports fans in particular it's a tough time: no matches, no camaraderie, and no tasty snacks!
Sympathetic to their plight, M&C Saatchi Sydney's rousing Requiem For A Pie voices the loss whilst showcasing busy birds pecking away at fans' precious grub.
“For those not so familiar with Australia, or our passion for sport, the meat pie is the staple food for Aussie Sports fan (our Hotdog I guess), synonymous with all sporting codes and formats - AFL, NRL and cricket. There’s not many sport nuts that aren’t dying to be reunited with a hot pie or overpriced bucket of chips in the stands right now.” says M&C Saatchi chief creative officer, Cam Blackley.
“Having TAB lend its weight to hit the 10 million downloads target of COVIDSafe to achieve that goal allows this iconic brand to once again elevate the conversation above the bet (albeit with tongue wedged firmly in cheek). It’s ambitious but worth a shot.”
With glorious copywriting and an impassioned tearing of the tart by the impressive cast of seagulls, caught ably by Revolver/Will O'Rourke's Matt Devine, this cracking spot manages the difficult task of cramming a funny, truthful and impactful filling into a 60-second pastry case.
