This moving music video, directed by Bill Bleakley through MOFA, is the second promo in blues band The Teskey Brothers’ trilogy of music videos that authentically capture real-life Australian stories.
The film, titled Take My Heart, reunites us with characters from the previous film, as well as introducing several new ones, including young rodeo legend Noah Dingle and his mentor.
Bleakley weaves together documentary style content, captured on 35mm film, with nostalgic footage of the band playing in a scout hall and an ice hockey rink, inspired by the locations they played at when they were first starting out.
“It was a nice challenge to make a three part narrative clip” explained the director. “I’m not used to spitting narrative arcs over a few episodes. Each of the videos had to work as a standalone clip, but also had to add weight to the series so it was tricky to get right.”
