Directed by Lester Jones, through Jones Creative, the film Mother was created for UN World Water Day and presents nature as a forlorn ageing woman whose decline is an allegory for our lack of care for the environment and its resources.
It opens with the young Mother Nature wandering in the sparkling ice worlds of Scandinavia, this is juxtaposed with her elder self staggering through the Australian desert.
Aged and parched she faces the arid wasteland that awaits us if we fail to address the world’s water crisis.
