When kettle ignition inspires a percussive response to the preparation of tea, who better to turn the feelings into film than a couple of editors.

The Queen is the working name of directors Daniel Lumb and Crinan Campbell, who since turning to directing have won a prodigious awards for such experimental films as Fifteen (2014) and Extranjero (2011), and created content for such high-profile clients as Virgin, Samsung and Marks and Spencer.

They both started out as editors and this charming piece of whimsy displays their dexterity in storytelling via humorous cuts and perfect timing. Titled I Wash My Hands Every Five Minutes Anyway, it was sent to shots described as "a very silly film shot in lockdown." Quite so.
