Production studio Grin Machine (Streit and Kush) have created a colourful mashup of experimental AI visuals that sees Rocky reanimated after a crowd-surfing incident goes a bit fatal.
The gloriously ghoulish film sees his ‘friends’ then begin puppeteering his dead body in an effort to continue benefiting from his fame.
Grin Machine, who were given complete creative freedom by Rocky, commented: “It was this weird and beautiful situation where Rocky had no notes and was fully on board to try out anything with our bizarre narrative.”
They took an unusual approach to production design, curating some set decoration and using AI tools to build upon the setups.
The duo also handled all the editing and VFX themselves, implementing experiments from various AI tools including Stable Diffusion, Dall-E 2 and RunwayML.
