Director Aube Perrie of Pulse Films indulges in a plethora of brilliantly gruesome horror movie tropes in this fast-paced, stylised promo for Swedish rock band The Hives' new track, Bogus Operandi.
The film opens as a young girl’s dog sniffs out an old cassette tape buried in the ground on the outskirts of the woods. The woodland animals quiver in their burrows as she utters the ill-fated words written on tape, unleashing an invisible, sinister force in the forest.
We are transported through the woods to see that the band, who were driving by, have broken down in predictable horror movie fashion. Unable to make the journey home, they spend the night in a haunted cabin, and a long, gruesome night of poisoning, possessing, and graphic murder scenes ensues.
