Tasked with creating the biggest democratic manoeuvre in Europe, creative agency &Co have launched this moving and to-the-point spot for The European Parliament’s election campaign, emphasising to people the importance of using their right to vote.
At the heart of the initiative is the simple yet effective documentary style film, directed by Mette Carla Albrechtsen through Kind, which splices archival footage with scenes of an older generations reading moving letters to their younger family members.
Their messages recount not-so-bygone eras of war and political instability, reminding both their loved ones and viewers that peace and democracy is not always a guarantee, with the hope of mobilising 400 million people to vote in the upcoming European elections.
