Supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, Yessian develops a new song for a new generation.

Powerful and hopeful, Glory shows off soaring vocals and ambitions as young Black choir members march, protest, and advocate on their streets. They have written new lyrics to accompany the song, and the movement is powerfully captured as they assert their voice and their power.  In this empowering and exceptionally moving video, Detroit youth take back their streets and their story.

Directed by Everett Stewart, Glory is a magnificent piece that keeps the focus on the youth, the movement, and the struggle. With musical additions by IndigoYaj, a former DYC member, the movement through the city, stopping at landmarks like including the Monument to Joe Louis, Power to the People Mural, Detroit Barber Co. in Corktown, and the Spirit of Detroit monument, grounding this protest song in a city-wide uprising.
