A new London-based boutique production company has launched, boasting a unique arsenal of talent. The Banquet will specialise in commercials, branded content, and films.
Speaking at the launch, co-founder Ian Roderick Gray said: “We have curated a roster of world-leading directors each possessing a unique skill set that we identified as crucial for The Banquet - visual identity, artistic genius, and the dexterity to cater for a diverse array of productions. Our number one focus is on true originality.”
Partner Adham Hunt added: “Clients will come to us confident that no matter what the project - whether it be a big budget commercial or a specialist boutique project - they will always get a matching artistic integrity, with a clear vision and creative flair."
Hunt and Roderick Gray have combined forces consistently over the last decade, having each made their defined footprint in the industry. Gray’s feature debut The Banksy Job gained hot plaudits everywhere, from the Hollywood Reporter to Vogue, whilst their video music productions for singer Charlie Winston have won a host of international
awards.
“I’ve always been impressed by Adham, a huge natural talent who has consistently mixed organic creative flair with business acumen,” said Gray. “He has taken music acts from practically zero sales and transformed them into multi-million record sellers, he has taken tiny visual production budgets and made masterpieces, he has given commercial advertising clients internationally-acclaimed productions on shoestring budgets, and he has done all of this with equal hands on the financial and creative levers. That is a very unusual skillset. We have undertaken many collaborations and I have been consistently impressed. It seemed natural to join forces. We have had this dream for a long time.”
“That’s very kind of Ian to say,” said Hunt. “There is a huge amount of mutual respect there, he has always blown me away with his creative talents and his professionalism and dedication. Ian’s vision as a Director never stops being both original and economic, which is a very rare commodity; just ask any Producer. For me, utilising his talents alongside our hand-picked selection of the most creative directors on the planet, is phenomenal. We have curated the very best people that match our ethos, the ethos of The Banquet. We mix specialist creative flair and a perfectionist and ultra professional approach.”
Clients will be drawn to the incredible roster of award-winning directors that The Banquet has to offer. These include: Pardeep Sahota, winner of the British Arrows Emerging Talent Gold Award 2022.
Marion Bergin, who won a gold shark at the prestigious Shark Kinsale Awards for her remarkable film Saoirse.
