World-renowned photographer Diana Markosian has directed this heartbreaking PSA film through The Corner Shop for humanitarian charity The Archewell Foundation, in collaboration with M&C Saatchi.
Through intimate, documentary-style interviews spliced with home footage and photographs, the film captures the true stories of parents who’ve lost children to harmful context on social media, from eating disorders, to online bullying, to suicidal content.
Focusing on the harrowing lived experiences of affected families, the campaign exposes how dangerous content can be accessed anywhere, no matter how safe children are in their home or neighbourhood. It promotes the initiatives of The Archewell Foundation’s Parent’s Network - who are there to provide support to parents who are being impacted by these issues.
“We are The Parents’ Network. A group of parents who have first-hand knowledge of the pain and destruction caused by social media use. Each of us have been through something no parent should ever have to experience, and our mission is to prevent anyone else from suffering the way we have. For anyone who has a child affected by social media harms, we are here to support you. Our safe and supportive community is available to all parents and caregivers navigating the complex digital world.”
