tenthree brings in Owen O'Sullivan
Joining from Marshall Street Editors, the editor has lent his talent to campaigns from Nike, Cadbury, and Airbnb.
Boutique editing house tenthree has announced the signing of editor Owen O’Sullivan to its roster.
Prior to the hire, O'Sullivan spent time at Pulse Films, where whilst working independently on music promos, and branded content, he realised his passion for editing. He then moved on to become a Film Editor at Marshall Street Editors, granting him the opportunity to work with award-winning editors while honing his craft.
Over his career, O'Sullivan has worked on projects for a number of big names, from Cadbury, to Nike, to Airbnb. Particularly fond of telling realist stories, one of his highlights is the short documentary No Ball Games for The Guardian, directed by Charlotte Regan, which showcases the ingenuity kids display when creating fun out of their environment in the face of closing youth clubs across the UK. In the commercial realm also, Owen has lent his talents to a host of touching spots, including Macmillan’s Whatever You Need, British Gas’ The Sound of Silence, and most recently Vodafone’s Blue Lights with Nicolas Jack Davies.
Owen O'Sullivan comments: “I remember reading about Ellie Johnson joining tenthree as partner a few years back and taking note, as I’ve been a fan of her work for a very long time, so the opportunity to join a roster with her, Billy Mead, and Quin Williams was too good to turn down! Meeting Ed Hoadley and hearing about his ambition and vision for the future, I knew that joining tenthree was a chance to be part of something special.”
He adds: “The genuine enthusiasm, ambition, unity, and ethos here shines, reflected in the constant stream of top notch work being produced, and the team clearly know how to develop talent. The guys have done exceptionally well to build up and consolidate connections with a vast range of exceptional people, offering an amazing opportunity to collaborate with the most exciting production talent in the industry. I’m so excited for what the future holds!”
Ed Hoadley, Managing Director at tenthree, comments: “Owen is a perfect fit for tenthree - he’s immensely talented, yet hard-working and humble at the same time. That’s something which is clear from the moment you meet him, and from the connections he’s made with directors like Charlotte Regan and Geej Ower. He’s worked incredibly hard to drive his career to the point where it’s at now, and our challenge is now to provide that extra support to boost us all to the next level.”
