Spending the day buffering is a hellish way to work, but watching it happen to other people is rather fun.
Using a variety of effects and balancing the malfunctioning real-world with clean camerawork, IT cleverly depicts a world that is at a standstill because of a bad internet connection. Using visuals that render objects and animals in cubed pixels, stuttering to a halt and barely moving at all, the ad goes through a "typical" day where nothing gets done.
It’s a bold move to create a commercial that looks - and sounds - like something is going wrong with your screen, and production company Bleck makes it enjoyable to watch. Directed by StyleWar, IT has a rough, off-the-edge feel that fascinates.
