In the split-screen view of Belgium, two singers exchange lyrics as they walk through a surreal version of the world.
In a city where men are literally laundered, underground dance halls part in pirouettes, and word travels through the city, a mob boss and a boxer walk, drive, and ride through the city across a hip hop beat. Helped along by Zwangere Guy’s heated raps and Arno’s raw, rough vocals, Yugo is part music video, part advertisement. The two stories start at the same place, cross paths, but take vastly different routes through the city.
A beautifully directed piece from Koen Mortier from CZAR Brussels, Yugo shows off incredibly slick editing. With excellent work from the in-house post at TBWA, the agency shows off a snappy new look for the brand.
