Co-produced by Hamlet and LesMecs for Belgian artist Tamino’s new song, Sunflower, this enchanting promo was inspired the story of The Distance of the Moon, by Italian writer Italo Calvino.

With direction from trio Bastiaan Lochs, Ramy Moharam Fouad and Jonathan Van Hemelrijck, the story is captured in the style of a play, with slow steadicam movements and cinematic, film noir lighting, reminiscent of the silent movies of the late 1900's.

Making use of theatre-style backdrops and primitive special effects, the film immerses us in a magical, romantic world, following Tamino on a surreal journey through dreamy sunset skies and choppy silk-sheet seas to find Angèle watering a sunflower on the moon.
