Written and directed by Richard Bullock, through Revolver, this year’s Super Rugby campaign film takes a dip with twenty-four players from twelve teams involved in the fixtures.
Titled There’s Something In The Water, the work was shot across Australia and New Zealand, with all the action and stunts performed by the players themselves. Their ability to pass, tackle and even run underwater is a testament to their talent and ability on land.
The director commented: “I was thinking about how this part of the world manages to produce these amazing athletes who have permeated the world of rugby. This competition is the source of all that talent. Maybe ‘There was something in the water’ in the Pacific."
