​Suave celebrates female empowerment

Fresh Films set of Suave x Barbie the Movie witnessed epic levels of fun and excitement during the production, all thanks to the brilliant work of Director Alexandra Gavillet and Producer Jess Lowe; despite the fast-paced one-week preparation schedule to build sets, wardrobe, and assemble a diverse cast.

Gavillet’s film radiates with her trademark creativity and vibrancy. Her brilliant use of colour palette and infusion of high energy resulted in the creation of bold and unforgettable visuals. Underlying the film's beauty and excitement is a powerful message of diversity and the positive impact of Barbie on women's lives, influencing them from a young age. Notably, the movie's set was a testament to female empowerment, boasting an all-female head of department crew.

The film features famed hairstylist, Sarah Potempa, who teamed up with Suave in a Barbie Dream Hair Salon to showcase four unique hair looks she created inspired by the movie. As with the movie embracing different Barbies, this lighthearted celebration embraces women's diverse looks and beauty needs empowering them to be whichever Barbie they like.
