With a long-awaited, short-turnaround general election around the corner, the creative community has been motivated to create more and more inventive 'non-partisan' political films.

Utilising people's understandable anxiety about children in peril, You Are Here director Stuart Langfield creates an effective visual metaphor for the planet's climate crisis. The film, Remember the Future, features a child set down next to an overflowing bath whilst a haunting score by Caleb Burhans jangles the audience's emotions.

The film and its imagery were inspired by Langfield's recurring dream of the future. “I’d be sitting down to dinner with my kids, and they’d outright ask me, ‘What did you do to help?’ Being able to look them in the eye and answer that question if it ever comes up in real life, was all the motivation I needed."

Exec Producer Jeremy Goold adds: “For us, this film needed to be deliberately uncomfortable. A nerve-touching viewing experience that urges action on both a personal and global level. With so much focus on the immediate future and political point-scoring, we felt it was an important reminder of our longer-term duties to humanity.”
