It's an alarmist message, but necessarily so; ‘1.4 percent of all Oregonians could die. If the average person knows 600 people, that means five people you know will die.’

The bald statements, simply presented as black type on a yellow background, go on to outline who exactly might die – your barista, your kid's teacher, your partner, your daughter. Numbers is one of two films that form part of the State’s public awareness campaign urging the public to not ‘accidentally kill someone’. It's a communication that is relevant to people around the globe – we all have the power to save lives, and to destroy them.

The other film Essential Heroes, is a moving monochrome series of portraits giving a shout out to those on the frontlines of the crisis — health care workers, first responders, food store employees and more — who are working every day to ensure society functions during this crisis.

Supported by print activations, including door hangers you can download and print off, the 'Stay Home, Save Lives' campaign will appear on television, radio, social and online.

“We are facing an unprecedented crisis. None of us have been through anything like this before,” said Governor Brown. “The single most important thing each of us can do to protect our community and frontline workers, and to save lives right now, is stay home."
