This mind-bending, narcotic-fuelled promo for Piero Pirupa out of PRETTYBIRD shows a PSA in peril after the talent takes one of the pills that he’s supposed to warn the public against.
In Braindead, the beloved Eastender, Shaun Williamson stands in front of a slate gray background and lipsynchs along to the beating electronic music. Soon enough, his eyes are drawn down to the little pill on the table. As soon as he takes the dose, all animated hell breaks loose when he sees visions of toker bluebirds, his brain breaks out of his skull, beats him up, and gives him the finger. The expanding chaos of the set-turned-disaster area gets darkly comic and weirdly wonderful as the drugs take their toll on Shaun.
Directed by Yousef, the anti-drug song and subsequent video is strange, bizarre, and expertly breaks in between the in-story filming and storytelling. Unexpected and scary, this music video is an absolute trip.
