This clever stop-motion film, directed by Daniel Liakh through Sticker Studio and edited by Beth Roberts of NOMAD, captures people with a stammer mid-sentence whilst calling out the damaging remarks many have faced.

Featuring seventeen members of the UK stammering community, the film is voiced by six of these individuals, who were also photographed for the campaign. The portraits were shot by acclaimed photographer David Vintiner, who is known for his passion for telling human stories.

The film presents its cast face-on, whilst speaking, with the aim of normalising speech with a stammer, empowering those who have one and creating greater visibility and understanding within the public.

"Choosing the moments that conveyed the true reality of speaking with a stammer was key to creating a piece that felt natural, authentic, and engaging," comments Roberts. "It was important to show the emotion and personality of everyone, giving them the time and space to tell their story”.
