Let's get this out of the way first of all; if you're under the (incorrect) impression that puns are the lowest form of humour, you might not warm to this gag-filled execution from St Luke's.
Designed to remind people of all the things they’ve been missing out on during the various phases of lockdown, Spread Your Wings is a delightfully animated spot that introduces us to Wesley Peck, the young business-pigeon, who runs into his friend, a successful execu-bird called Sandy C. Gull, on a South Western Railway train on its way to London.
Directed by Smith & Foulkes through Nexus Studios, the spot is modelled, textured and animated in 3D with some 2D background work, with the characters brought to beautiful life through expressive details and performance. Coupled with some enjoyably groanworthy puns scarred throughout, this flight of fancy is a soaring success.
