The holidays have always been testy, admits a new holiday spot entitled Holiday History, written and directed by Caviar director Amir Farhang.

The spot features a classic family gathering table, where various relatives each suffer in their own hilarious ways due to “years of baggage everywhere,” as comically narrated by TikTok comedy sensation Leo Gonzales. In the midst of the dour gathering, a young woman ingeniously escapes the misery by diving into Solitude Clash with other players. 

The “Holiday History” :30 is part of a comical campaign highlighting how holidays are sometimes best forgotten via the popular card-related game, which is played with others.

The holiday campaign was produced by Oscar-winning production company Caviar and allowed Farhang to wear many hats, as he also served as Creative Director and Writer on each of the spots. 

“It’s rare that a project comes along where you serve as creative across all disciplines. I’ve spent my entire career wearing many different hats and it was especially rewarding to be afforded the opportunity to don all of them at the appropriate parts of the journey.” 

The spot takes a hilarious approach to achieve a very tangible goal, to encourage holiday viewers to indulge their love for solitaire by downloading Solitaire Clash and enjoy “clashing with others,” the director adds.
